Great Museums
 
 
After the war, the art collections in Berlin were parted among the museums in the Eastern and Western parts of the city. Soon after the collapse of the wall, the government of the city decided to reorganise its art treasures making Berlin one of world’s culture capitals.
 
Day 1
Arrive to Berlin. Afternoon orientation city sightseeing tour: Kurfürstendamm, Tiergarten, Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden, Hackescher Markt, Prenzlauer Berg, the remains of the Wall. Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 2
Visit of the Museums Island, one of the most outstanding museum complex in the world. In the morning visit of the painting collection in the Altes Museum. Afternoon visit the archeological collection of the Pergamon and the Egyptian Museum in its new splendid location. Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 3
Morning tour of the museums in the Charlottenburg District including a guided visit to the Berggrün Collection and admittance to the Bröhan Museum. Afternoon visit of Charlottenburg Palace including admission to the Old Castle and New Wing. Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 4
Morning visit of the Painting Gallery at the Kulturforum and afternoon at disposal for individual activities. Use of the 3-days-Museum-Pass. Dinner at popular beer hall or at traditional cabaret. Overnight.
 
Day 5
Before leaving Berlin board the boat for a ride on the Spree river along the city centre.
